Is it necessary to purchase tickets in advance on the website?
To implement the necessary security measures, offer visitors a comfortable experience, and ensure the preservation of the building, strict controls are in place on admission times and the number of people allowed in the museum.
Since tickets are limited and in high demand, it is very unlikely to find any available at the ticket office. Thus, the only way to guarantee admission to the museum is to purchase advance tickets on our website, subject to the availability displayed.
Is it possible to purchase tickets at the museum on the day of the visit?
Tickets are limited and in high demand, so it is very unlikely to find any available at the ticket office on the day of your visit. In other words, admission to the museum is not guaranteed for those arriving without a purchased advance ticket.
All tickets on the website are listed as “sold out.” Is this an error? Is there another way to purchase the tickets?
Tickets are limited and in high demand, so it is very unlikely to find any available at the ticket office on the day of your visit.
Our website displays real-time availability, which may change due to cancellations or occasional adjustments to the logistics and/or scheduling of museum visiting hours.
Is there a waiting list, or can I provide my details so I can be contacted in case of a cancellation?
Due to the short time frame between the cancellation and the date/time of the scheduled visit, we do not have waiting lists or similar arrangements.
In the event of cancellations or changes in availability, this will be automatically reflected on the website, which displays availability in real time.
Why does the website show availability for days/times that were not previously published or sold out?
Ticket availability may vary consistently due to cancellations and occasional adjustments to the logistics and/or scheduling of museum visiting hours.
When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets for the Guided Tour are issued in phases approximately 6 weeks in advance.
Tickets for the Self-guided Tour are issued in phases approximately 2 months in advance.
Why can tickets not be purchased/reserved further in advance?
The Luis Barragán House is a property recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It was not conceived as a museum when it was built. For this reason, care, preservation, and maintenance work is constantly being done inside the house, requiring partial or total restriction of access to the museum.
Is it possible to change the date, time, or language of tickets that have already been paid for?
No changes to the date, time, or language are made for previously purchased tickets. In some cases, cancellations with refunds are possible (subject to conditions).

Admission to the museum is restricted, and tickets can only be purchased for the same day and time when website availability allows it.
Our website shows real-time availability, so if the schedule is marked as “sold out” or the available number is less than the desired quantity, it will no longer be possible to purchase tickets for that same day and time.
What can I do if I have not received confirmation of purchase?
You can contact us at informes@casaluisbarragan.org mentioning the email address used to make the purchase.
If the purchase is successful, the tickets will be displayed in your account, and we will resend you the confirmation email containing the digital tickets in PDF format.

What happens if I already have a ticket and arrive late for the Tour?

Once the Guided Tour has ended, the ticket will be canceled, not refunded, and unusable on another day. It is recommended that you arrive at least 5 minutes early to receive the relevant instructions and enter on time.

Is there a dress code for visiting the museum?
Entering in stiletto heels is strictly forbidden because walking on the volcanic stone floor is difficult and can cause collateral damage to the floorboards.
Why is the number of visitors so small?
The Luis Barragán House is a property recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It was not conceived as a museum when it was built, and has been faithfully preserved to reflect the era during which its owner lived there. For these reasons, the house is not designed to withstand sustained flows of large numbers of people; some spaces are tiny, and the materials are delicate.
It is a priority to implement the necessary safety measures, provide visitors with a comfortable experience, and ensure the preservation of the building.
How much do the tickets cost?
Check the fees for each type of visit: -Guided Tour- and -Self-guided Tour-.
